Kristy & Will had a maternity session not too long ago, & after welcoming baby Camilla, we met once again for a baby session! This family is so loving & excited to be new parents, & it is so lovely to watch! Here are some photos from their maternity session, & sneak peek into Camilla’s! Enjoy!

April 19, 2010We had a picnic yesterday with Kitty & Garrett, along with little Maddie who is now 4 months! I can’t believe it! It seems not at all long ago when we were taking Kitty & Garrett’s maternity pictures! Although it wasn’t exactly a great day for a picnic, I managed to snap these photos…which I love ..mostly because I really adore these guys

February 28, 2010A little out of the box for what I normally do, but thanks to Jessica for standing out in 30 degree weather & what seemed to be a foot of snow, wearing only a dress & cardigan. She was a champ. I thoroughly enjoyed my shoes filled with ice cold water from the flooded area where we decided would be perfect to shoot these pictures!
Snow & A New Lens
February 12, 2010We got pounded with snow this past Wednesday, about 13 inches in my town of Cranford, NJ. It was pretty beautiful to see everything completely covered with snow…can’t remember the last time it snowed like that here. My husband & I went for a walk in the middle of the storm & I was psyched to take out the camera, but quickly realized it wouldn’t be the smartest of ideas considering the moisture! So, I snapped a shot of the fire escape…I love this view. I have the same photo, slightly wider, taken a few months back that I shot with my Minolta SRT-201. It was taken with black & white film, shown below the snowy one.
I reeeeally am enjoying my new Nikon 50mm f/1.8, which I shot the first photo with. It’s auto focus is super fast, it’s very sharp & it has a great low light performance. I am amazed it’s price was so affordable, but it is after all a very simple lens to make. See Ken Rockwell’s review: http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/5018daf.htm
I can’t wait to use it on some more portraits!
